Badia Farha Means “Original Creation”...
...which is exactly what she is.
Also affectionately known as “Lady Rose,” she was born in Newark, NJ, and began her journey to entertain anyone who would listen at the age of 2. As a graduate of NYU with a M.A in Music and the Performing Arts/Musical Theatre, she explodes on the stage and you can’t keep your eyes off her!
In 2020, Badia sang the theme song on an Emmy Winning commercial for BWI Airport where they remade the classic Staples Song “I’ll Take You There” to “We’ll Take You There.”
A powerhouse performer, you can catch her on the Broadway Stage and on your TV screen! Badia is a Broadway Actress (School of Rock!) and a fierce rock belter who’s performed On and Off-Broadway (Broadway Bounty Hunter), in multiple Broadway Tours (Little Shop of Horrors, RENT), and graced the stages of the most sought-after regional theaters in the nation.
Some TV credits include FBI’s Most Wanted (CBS), a new Mini-Series called The Wolves (DA Karen West), A Gifted Man (CBS), and America’s Got Talent (NBC), among others. She can be heard on several cast albums, in addition to the acclaimed Off-Broadway hit Broadway Bounty Hunter.
Her career has afforded her the opportunity to perform Nationally and Internationally in renowned venues like Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, Ceasars Palace (Las Vegas), NJPAC, The Bitter End, Feinstein’s 54 Below, Joe’s Pub, and even Osaka, Japan!
R&B Soul + is how Badia describes her sound. It is a fusion of Jazz, R&B, Funk, Rock, Soul, and Pop. Her music and style have been classified as a cornucopia of intrinsic styles, melodic vocals & radiant energy. Her style and delivery are reminiscent of the great singers who have paved the way such as Carmen McRae, Chaka Chan, Randy Crawford, and Aretha Franklin. Musically, she has easily been compared to the likes of The Brand New Heavies, & Curtis Mayfield. She is a member of AEA, ASCAP, and the NY Grammy Chapter.
Under her own Label, Lady Sady Entertainment, she has recorded Music, Commercials, Jingles, and Theme Songs for major corporations as well as TV, Films, and Web-Series. Badia recorded a self-titled EP “Badia Farha,” a full-length CD “Still Waiting?” and released a host of Singles including the popular “Don’t Know” which was used for Macy’s 2018 summer promotion campaign. You can hear many songs from her catalogue on all streaming services, and Internet radio stations.
Badia is happily married with 2 beautiful children.
Being an Artist is that spiritual, unexplained connection that unites people of all races and ethnic backgrounds. It is the tie that binds.
