National / International Tour Badia Farha was cast in this hit Broadway Musical’s touring company. She worked with the likes of Michael Grief, Tim Weil, Constantine Maroulis (American Idol), and Jeannette Bayardelle (“Celie” in the Color Purple). Badia was first hired as a swing covering the roles of Joanne, the “Season Soloist”, and Alexi. Upon recognizing her skills to learn fast and take on a leadership role, she was promoted to Dance Captain in addition to her roles. Eventually, winding up as the “Season Soloist.” Rent took Badia across the United States and then to Tokyo, Japan. In 2006, Badia was asked to rejoin the original cast of Rent and follow up casts of 10 years for the Rent 10 year anniversary held in concert form at the Nederlander Theatre Broadway Stage in NY, NY sponsored by Target.

Little Shop of Horrors

1st National Broadway Tour Badia Farha played the role of “Crystal” in this hit Broadway Musical. Growing up always loving this musical, Badia got the chance to live out her dream as one of the street urchins twice.  First, on the Broadway tour, then again at the noted PaperMill Playhouse, NJ.  Here, she was cast again as "Crystal" as well as the Dance Captain for the show! 

Sister Act

The Musical Originating the roles of “Larosa”, “Sister Mary Francis,” and “the cocktail waitress,” this musical is near and dear to her heart. “Getting the opportunity to work closely with Alan Menken, Glenn Slater, Cheri & Bill Steinkellner, Peter Schneider, Michael Kosarin, Marguerite Derricks, and Brent Alan Huffman along with a wonderfully talented cast and crew is all that and a bag of barbeque potato chips! Jonathan Larson award recipient composer and lyricist Joe Iconis (www.mrjoeiconis.com) is the brains behind this eclectic Iconic musical. Performed throughout NYC including The Zipper Factory, Ars Nova, Joe’s Pub, and the NY Music Theater Festival this musical is guaranteed to “Rock Your Soul.” Things II Ruin is now Off Broadway and is coming back by popular demand! Leap of Faith

Badia was granted the opportunity to work on another original musical with the world renowed Alan Menken and Glen Slater.  She was estatic to be working with Oscar winning director Taylor Hackford, Tony winning choreographer Rob Ashford, Tony winning actress Lilias White, Tony nominated actors Raul Esparza and Terrence Mann, along with a cast of talented performers and musicians.  Badia was cast as featured ensemble and got to show off a little sumthin' sumthin'.

Rewrite
A musical comedy triple feature by acclaimed writer/composer Joe Iconis.  We had a successful run at the Off-Broadway theatre Urban Stages.  Thank you to all that came out and supported.

Publicolor is a wonderful not-for-profit organization that asked Badia to perform at their 10 year Birthday celebration.
